New year...new beginning.
Here is Pinky - our new bunny, which I adopted just on New Year day!
And my search to adopt another bunny begins.... So, we ended up adopting from her owner this Netherland Dwarf - a very sweet white rabbit with pink and red eyes! >o<
Pinky is a very clean and healthy bunny. She has this very unique characteristic; that is - "routine mealtime"! She only eats during certain hours and when I tried to feed her with slice of apples, only Miffy will quickly finishes up her portion and as for Pinky; No mealtime, No food!!! hahhaha....
The slow introduction of both bunnies are rather successful and a great relief to me. Initially, I thought Miffy will be domineering towards Pinky since she has been with us for about 3 years, and also the fact that Miffy is older and bigger size rabbit causes some worries. The first two days was a careful lookout on both behaviour and reactions towards both bunnies. No surprise on the initial stage, they were both defensive due to their nature that they are both prey!
Few days down the road, I am relief that Miffy chases Pinky in the house to play with her.... We can tell that Miffy is rather excited with a companion, she loves to hop into Pinky cage to share Pinky's pellets. Another good influence is the Miffy now enjoys hays which she dislike all the while (now Miffy will nipple some hays whenever she visits Pinky's cage).
At times, despite Pinky is smaller in size, Miffy is kind-of afraid of Pinky when she gets mad! So, more story of Miffy and Pinky begins here ... ....

New Hay
This packet contains crane grass which are from Japan. The smell is always so fresh each time the zip-lock is unzipped, even though it may be dried hay! And of course the rabbits enjoy it! ^^

Our new rabbit addition - Melody
My sis gave me a pair of Angora Rabbit babies, they are 3 weeks old...and are extremely adorable!!(^^) I will keep one of them, which we named it Melody; the other will be given away to a friend.
If you've followed my blog which I had posted few weeks ago, you may wonder what happen to Miffy's babies....sad to say that we are not able to keep even one!! I think it may be due to the fact that Miffy delivered 10 babies in one go; and all of them were very small in size and weak during when born! Husband and I were very sad that Miffy's babies died within a spread of three days. Afterall, we paid lots of attention to them and had put in lots of effort to keep them warm and fed. When I knew that sis bunny's baby are growing healthily, I've requested to have one so that Miffy can have a company.

Miffy's Baby
So my sis was laughing all the way when I called her to said that 'he' delivered 10 babies... (Yep!! 10 of them and unfortunately 2 was found dead when I saw them). When I started tracing back 'who' could be the 'culprit' which had made my Miffy pregnant...and we suspected it might be my sis male Angora rabbit.
I guessed we can confirm the real 'culprit' only when Miffy's baby grew slightly bigger... if they are very hairy... it's a sure answer that sis's Angora rabbit had father the babies of Miffys'! As sis mentioned they were staying in the same cage about 2 days, before I brought Miffy home (my sis also added that,' you have given a female name to your rabbit and it became female!!)... Ya...What a joke!!!..
