Outdoor Ballet Performance

My niece participated in the outdoor ballet dancing at the open stage of Tampines Mall which was organized by the Yamaha Music School.

Husband and I brought the sisters and brother along to give the moral support since the parent could not make it. I would say this is the first time watching a live ballet performance... indeed, it was an eye-opener.

Bravo!!!! Well done... Valerie... Well done... girls! ^^

Soup Or Dry??

Here's the simple way of preparation of noodles ... ... either soup or dry??? I love the soupy version while husband prefers the dry ones with chilli and tomato sauce!

Chrysanthemums With Wolfberries

I used the Chrysanthemums (贡菊花) which don't requires any boiling. Simply adding a handful of pre-washed Chrysanthemums with some wolfberries. It makes a great cooling tea with natural sweetness by just adding hot boiling water... cheers! (^o^)

Stir-Fried Gao Kee With Wolfberries

I don't know what this vegetable is called. In Teochew, we call it "Gao Kee Cai" (九枝菜). My mum method of cooking it is to boil them in soup with ikan-bilis stock, and adding the beaten eggs into the boiling soup. Most housewives would know that they improves eye-sight; I thought it should be, since the vegetable turned into deep green when cooked!

Last Friday, husband and I had ordered this dish in the restaurant. Since it tasted so nice with wolfberries, I decided to cook my own with a little trial on my very own method.

Verdict: Of course it don't have the exact taste of what we ate...! But the most important thing is; it is a healthy dish especially both ingredients are known to improve our visions! ^^

Long Beans Mushrooms Rice

Again, I cooked mushrooms rice today. Husband love to eat the rice, since I cooked it few days ago!

This time, I added lots of Japanese, Korean Buna Shimeji mushrooms, Shitake mushrooms and some long beans. (^o^)
