My First Bread

This is my first bread making, and... it was unsuccessful! I guessed I could have killed the yeast during the process and the bread did not rise as much. I think I have to work harder the next round of my bread baking!

.....But I may not have the so much time to do baking and blogging as I will be joining the workforce again, soon! It has been a while since I stayed home full time.... after much resting and recharging of energy; it's time to go back to my missed working days and looking forward to every Friday!!

Bitter gourd

Bitter gourd - you either love it or hate it! I particularly loves to cook bitter gourd with just eggs or boil it as a soup with some pork ribs or chicken.

I guessed bitter gourds are widely being consumed here since our weather is always hot and humid.... which makes a good cooling dish for the body!

Asparagus With Mushrooms

Here's something plain which I cooked for tonight's dinner - asparagus with mixed mushrooms ... ... something simple as we are going to have lots of 'sinful' food tomorrow at mum's place; as it is the last day of the lunar new year.

Carrots and Corns Soup

Chinese Lunar New Year is always associate with lots of visitings and eatings.... we ate a lot during those reunion dinners and relatives get-together since day 1 of the new year, and now we are back to something simple at home!

I cooked the sweet and clear soup from corns, carrots, onions and figs... a very nourishing soup which has figs added to help detox and also aid in digestion.

A very sweet clear Cantonese styled soup... ...

Fresh dry figs ... cut into halves before added to the soup for boiling ... ...

We gave the uncooked quarter of corns to our rabbit as his 'treats'...and he loves it!! ^^

New Pet

Husband and I had been busy since last night.... we brought back our new pet from sis house. She gave us a lop ear rabbit and we have been busy building his little house with the new accessories. Since this morning, we left him to hop around the house .... and here's our bunny called "Miffy"....
